Executive Biography

Guy Cools Managing Director & CEO Mr. Cools oversees the overall management and direction of Dexia Real Estate Capital Markets. Previously, Mr. Cools worked for BACOB Bank implementing a bank-wide securitization project while being in charge of the bank’s asset and liability management group. In that capacity Mr. Cools was actively involved in the underwriting and structuring of some large real estate loans. As an active member of the Maystadt II Commission, Mr. Cools helped develop the legal framework for securitization in Belgium.   Mr. Cools was educated at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium where he received a degree in law. He is also a graduate of the Fiscale Hogeschool in Brussels with a degree in tax law.
